Octamous Boat

     For our boat we made a box with the paper we got, and then we covered it with foil, so that the water wouldn't destroy the paper, by making it sink. After that we blew up the plastic air bag, and taped it to the bottom. Once the plastic bag was on the bottom we taped the straws together to make a square, and then taped it to the plastic bag. All the materials that we had was 4 straws, a plastic sandwhich bag, foil, 120cm. of duck tape, and paper. The shape of the boat was like a squarish rectangle, and I believe that the shape helped because it was evenly measured, and we tried making it like a pirate boat. The buoyant force of our boat was 1879.9g. Our boat was above average, out of the class.
